I have over 15 years of tutoring experience. My students have performed excellent in academic grading and standardized testing. My goal as a tutor is to make sure students learn and master the concepts, then use the concepts to solve problems presented in different formats. This approach allows students to expand skill set to solve any problem fast and accurate. Once the confidence is developed, it gives students the abilities which helps further in learning.
When it comes to studying for standardized test it is important to have enough practice on the material. With practice it becomes the second nature to understand the problem fast and solve it correctly. This allows you to not only solve problems fast and accurately and you always have time to review the work. In simple words it is the practice that makes you perfect so I use this approach to prepare the students.

The optional SAT/ACT Math Bootcamp is a small live group on Saturday and Sunday, 120 minutes each day, limited to 15 students. You get practice sets, a strategy playbook, a personal study plan and access to the student area.

Questions
Is the class really free?
Yes. The 40-minute class costs nothing and does not require a credit card. At the end we will tell you about a paid bootcamp, and you can choose not to sign up.
Who is it for?
Students in grades 9 to 12 preparing for the SAT or ACT, and their parents. The math content overlaps heavily between the two tests.
What do I need to join?
A computer or tablet with internet and Zoom, plus pencil and paper. Bring a question or two if you have them.
Will you contact me?
You will get an email confirmation and reminders. We only call or text if you check the optional box on the form, and you can stop at any time by replying STOP or emailing us.
What happens to my information?
We use it to run the class and follow up about it. We do not sell it. Read the full Privacy Policy.
Will my score go up?
We cannot promise a particular score, and no honest tutor can. The class gives you strategies and a practice plan; results depend on the work a student puts in.
My student has a strong GPA. Do they really need SAT/ACT prep?
Grades and test scores measure different things. School grades reward mastering course content over a semester. The SAT and ACT reward test-specific skills — recognizing question patterns quickly, managing time per section, and staying calm on a strict clock. A strong GPA does not automatically produce a strong test score, and vice versa, which is exactly why targeted, test-specific practice tends to help even strong students.
How is this different from a big self-paced course or app?
Those are usually pre-recorded videos you watch alone. This is a live class with a real tutor, capped at 15 students for the bootcamp, so your questions get answered as they come up and your practice plan is based on your own mistakes, not a generic lesson order.
